Flagstone Calculator:
For a 2400 square foot Patio or Driveway
1 ton covers approximately 100 s.f. @ ¾” to 1 ½” thick.

16 pallets @ 1.5 tons/3,000 lbs ea Exp: 16 x 1.5 x 100 = 2,400 s.f.
24 pallets @ 1.0 tons/2,000 lbs ea
Average: 1 ton covers approximately 90 s.f. @ 1 ½” to 2” thick.

13 pallets @ 2.0 tons/4,000 lbs ea
Exp: 13 x 2.0 x 90 = 2,430 s.f.
18 pallets @ 1.5 tons/3,000 lbs ea
27 pallets @ 1.0 tons/2,000 lbs ea

Thin Veneer Calculator:
For a 2,400 square foot Patio or Driveway
1 ton covers approximately 180 s.f. @ ½” to1” thick.

9 pallets @ 1.5 tons/3,000 lbs ea Exp: 9 x 1.5 x 180 = 2,430 s.f.

Pebbles / Rock Calculator:
Beach Pebbles, River Rock and River Flats are all distributed in 40 lb. bags.

1 bag of Beach Pebbles, River Rock and River Flats covers approximately 3 s.f. @ 2 stones deep (1” to 1 ¼” deep).

The bigger to pebble/rock; the smaller the coverage and vice versa - the smaller the pebble/rock; the larger the coverage.

This applies to stone, 2” to 2 ½” in diameter, and applies to our beach pebbles & river rock & flats.

One 40 lb. bag of Beach Pebbles, 3 ¼”to 3 ¾”, yields 2 ½ s.f. @ 2 stones deep (2” deep)

One 40 lb. bag of Mini Confetti or Chattahoochee, 1/8” to ½”, yields 4 s.f. @ 1 ½” to 2” deep

How much rock would I need to cover area of about 20 feet by 30 feet?
A: Average: 1 cubic yard covers 100 s.f. @ 2” deep

Area = Length (20ft) x Width (30ft)
Area = 600 square feet
You will need: 600 ÷ 100 = 6 cubic yards

Just how much is 1 cubic yard?
Well ... 1 cubic yard is three feet by three feet by three feet ( 3 x 3 x 3) or 27 cubic feet.

How much does it weigh? Well, one cubic yard weighs between 2000 and 2800 pounds
depending on any number of factors (such as water content). But lets call it down the
middle and say 2400 pounds per cubic yard.

How much exactly is a yard of top soil?

How many Wheelbarrow loads to (1) one Truckload?

A truckload is approximately 18 cubic yards and there are 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard.

So a truckload is  27 x 18 = 486 cubic feet.

A large or contractor size wheelbarrow holds about 5 cubic feet while

homeowner sizes hold about 2 - 3 cubic feet.

SOD ...
Most pallets of sod cover about 400 Square Feet of surface.
The length times the width divided by 400 = # of Pallets.
So if you have an area 20' x 30' ....
20 x 30 = 600 sq ft
600 divided by 400 = 1.5 one and a half pallets of sod.

St Augustine grass is a Florida favorite for front lawns.

at each rain.
